Culture and behaviour we encourage and expect:
· Be considerate and respectful of each other.
· Refrain from using demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour and speech.
Behaviours that we do not tolerate or expect:
· LLHM does not tolerate unacceptable behaviour.
· If a participant engages in unacceptable behaviour, LLHM may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including suspension from taking part in the race and any future Landmark Event.
· Intimidation of runners, staff, volunteers or spectators.
· Harassing, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct by any participant or member of staff.
. Harassment includes: offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity; intentional intimidation, stalking or following; photography or recording when people have objected to this; sustained disruption of event proceedings; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention
· Wearing clothing that is not suitable for the event or could cause offence.
· Any form of physical, written, verbal, or other abuse, including intimidation, threats, harassment, stalking, or the use of physical force against another person
· Possession of any item that can be used as a weapon, and may cause danger to others.
· Any disruptive, vulgar, or offensive behaviour or language, including but not limited to the use of sexually explicit or offensive language, materials, or conduct, as well as language, actions, or content that involves profanity, obscene gestures, or racial, religious, gender, or ethnic slurs.
· Possession or use of any illegal substance. LLHM does not tolerate the use or abuse of illegal substances.
· Assembling for the purpose of, or resulting in, disturbing the peace, or committing any unlawful act or engaging in any offensive behaviour.
· Failure to obey any rules or regulations of the Venue, as instructed by the Race Director.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately.
What to Do If You Witness or Are a Victim of Unacceptable Behaviour
· Alert a steward or event official immediately if you witness a dangerous situation or see someone in distress.
· If you are subjected to unacceptable behaviour, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns during the event, please notify a member of staff as soon as possible. All reports will remain completely confidential.
· LLHM stewards and officials will be available to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement on race day. You can report unacceptable behaviour to any member of the Team who can be found at the event or you may email us at [email protected] and our Head of Fundraising and Communications will follow up with you.
