We are delighted to announce on International Women’s Day (March 8 2024), that NEW for the LLHM 2024, we will be working with our new ‘Refresh’ Partner Beauty Banks to celebrate and support our female participants on race day so that they can achieve their personal goals.
If your period catches you by surprise on race day, there is no need to panic – free sanitary products, including tampons and towels, will be supplied at all our toilet facilities along the route and in the start and finish areas; along with other useful items you might need such as hair ties and tissues. Simply look out for our designated volunteers at the toilet stations, who will be able to help you discreetly with what you need!
We’re so pleased to be partnered with Beauty Banks, an organisation that exists to end hygiene poverty in the UK. Beauty Banks work nationwide, helping a diverse range of organisations across the UK, including foodbanks, homeless shelters, women’s refuges, care leavers’ services, refugee services, family centres, mental health trusts, youth centres, and schools. Beauty Banks provide items to those who need them most, supplying essential personal care and hygiene products such as sanitary products, bath products (body wash, shampoo, conditioners, razors), deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
