There are 20,000 people who will be taking part in LLHM 2025, and everyone has their own reason for running. Ahead of the Landmarks Training Weekend, we got the chance to speak to Naomi who is running LLHM 2025 for The Brain Tumour Charity, who have been been supporting Naomi's family over past year after her Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April 2024.

I always enjoyed sprinting at school and ran the London Marathon back in 2018 (with a very bad knee!) and haven’t ran since!

My dad was meant to run the LLHM last year, but was advised by the doctor not to, because of medical grounds, which later turned out to be his brain tumour. He completed the distance around a local park over the weekend of LLHM 2024 so it only seemed right I ran it for him this year!

My biggest motivation for running is my dad and the incredible work of The Brain Tumour Charity, and to raise as much money as possible for them. They have been incredible to our family. My dad has been through so much this past year and I know he’ll be fuming I have a medal and he doesn’t... but I might let him try it on!

There’s absolutely NOTHING I enjoy about running! I despise it hahaha! But I’m doing it for such an amazing charity. Oh, actually, I do like those runs which end up at the pub!

I do wish I had known how much more difficult training is when you’re older and haven’t done it for a while! How much you hurt and that running in the winter is very cold!!

On race day I’ll mostly be looking forward to the end! 😂 crossing the finishing line and knowing I’ve done my best!
