The 2021 edition of the race will take place on Sunday 23rd May and we’re working hard behind the scenes to plan a safe and incredibly special day for all of our runners. We're currently planning to deliver LLHM 2021 as a socially distanced event (if required) along with a new one-off theme to celebrate the coming-together of the UK during the coronavirus pandemic. Together, this will make LLHM 2021 extra special and we’d love you to join us.
LLHM 2021 BALLOT DATES
Main ballot opens: Wednesday 14th October, pm
Main ballot closes: Monday 26th October, 12 noon
Main ballot announced: From November, further details to follow
The LLHM 2021 ballot is free to enter. If you are successful you will need to pay £57.50 for your place and any profit from your entry fee will go to baby charity, Tommy's who organise the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Tommy's exist to save babies' lives through funding research into miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth.
SECOND CHANCE BALLOT
Following the announcement of the main ballot, all unsuccessful ballot applicants will automatically be entered into a second chance ballot for free. This will allow us to re-allocate any unwanted main ballot places to others.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS IF I AM SUCCESSFUL
If you are successful in either the main ballot or second chance ballot we will send you a link which is unique to you (i.e. it will not work if you forward it on to someone else) which you will need to complete. This includes making the payment for your place of £57.50 + booking fee. You only need to pay for your place if you are successful and all profits will go to Tommy's who organise the LLHM.
If you are successful in either ballot you need to complete your registration and pay for your place within the timeframe we specify, otherwise you will lose your place.
HOW DO I GET A PLACE IN LLHM 2021 IF I’M UNSUCCESSFUL IN THE BALLOT?
As the Official Charity Partner, Tommy's would love you to welcome you onboard their team. Tommy's are offering free entry with a fundraising pledge of £350. Your support would help fund lifesaving research into baby loss and provide pregnancy advice at a time of great need.
You can secure your free place with Team Tommy's now and if you are successful in the ballot you can cancel your charity place with them. It's win win!
We also have over 150 other charity partners with places in the event including Prostate Cancer UK, Cancer Research UK, Guide Dogs, the British Heart Foundation and Alzheimers Research UK. Our full list of charity partners can be found here
MAKING LLHM 2021 SAFE
The safety of everyone involved is our number one priority and we are working closely with our stakeholders, partners, and a leading crowd management specialist to plan out how the LLHM will be adapted to stage a socially distanced LLHM in May 2021 if required.
The plans we are developing follow the latest DCMS and Run Britain guidance to ensure appropriate measures are in place on race day to keep everyone as safe as possible. For more details on our plans to date, please visit our dedicated Covid-19 Safety webpage.
