BLACK GIRLS DO RUN

Black Girls Do Run UK is more than just a running club; they’re a community.

One of our incredible partners is Black Girls Do Run UK, whose mission is to inspire and encourage black women to run.

They focus on building a supportive community and host FREE weekly runs across London that are open to all black women, no matter your running experience. These sessions offer a safe space to run together, as well as encouraging health, wellness and friendship.

We absolutely love working with them and their dedication to building safe spaces for black women to connect, motivate and empower each other through running.

Check out their website to find out when and where their weekly runs are, so you can find your supportive, inspiring sisterhood.

LONDON FRONTRUNNERS

London Frontrunners is a 700 members-strong, volunteer-led, grassroots running and triathlon club. They welcome all sections of the community, with an emphasis on the LGBTQ+ communities and their allies. LFR enjoys a very diverse, mixed ability membership with something for everyone, by providing a welcoming atmosphere of inclusion, engagement, encouragement and support.

They are also the hosts of our incredible Pride Party activation on race day! This activation is a huge part of bringing London’s history and culture to life along the route, by celebrating London’s LGBTQIA+ community. If you’ve run the LLHM before, there’s now way you missed it, and if this is your first time then you’re in for a treat. Think rainbows everywhere, DJ trucks, Pride flags, drag queens, and a party atmosphere!

Head to their website to join one of their sessions and find out more.

EMANCIPATED RUN CREW

Emancipated Run Crew (ERC) is a running community with diversity and inclusion at the heart of what they do. They are a group of runners who support and encourage black and brown runners to meet and exceed their fitness goals. Founded in 2019 by sisters Denise and Julia Stephenson, and friend Trojan Gordon, ERC is determined to challenge the lack of diversity in grassroots running, through providing safe spaces for black and brown people to run, but also by advocating for change through conversation, consultation and partnership with organisations and brands.

We’re so proud to continue to grow our partnership with ERC each year. Look out for them at their water station along the route - they’ll be bringing loads of energy, cheering you all on, and of course keeping you hydrated! ERC also provide our tailwalkers for LLHM, making sure that our final runners are supported over the finish line.
