Wheelchair Entries

We are delighted that our stakeholders have once again given us permission this year to welcome a limited number of wheelchair participants in LLHM 2025. Please refer to our T&Cs below for full details. As a charity, you can offer any of your places to a wheelchair entrant, however, please let us know how many wheelchair participants are interested in taking part for your charity. LLHM must approve every wheelchair entry, to ensure we do not exceed the number of wheelchair places that have been agreed by our stakeholders.

We strongly advise that a support runner accompanies wheelchair participants around the course. LLHM can offer a free guide/support runner to every eligible participant.

Please help us by following the below process:

  • As runners sign up, find out if they will be taking part as a wheelchair entrant.
  • Please ask if they plan to take part with a support runner.
  • Complete our online form below requesting a wheelchair place approval.
  • On the form, let us know if your participant plans to take part with a support runner. If so, please confirm if you will be offering a place for their support runner or if you would like LLHM to offer a free support runner place.
  • LLHM will confirm if we have a wheelchair place available, and if so, we will approve the place.
  • You can then invite the participant to complete the console and their official LLHM registration.
  • If requested, LLHM will process the free support runner place. Please note that LLHM support runner places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
  • If your runner is unable to take part in LLHM 2025 at a later stage, the place for their support runner will also be withdrawn.
  • Please get in touch with the LLHM Team if you have any questions about this process.

Terms And Conditions

Please note the terms and conditions for wheelchair participants:

Wheelchair Participants are only permitted to participate using a rigid manual powered day chair or adapted wheelchair buggy. Handcycles, racing wheelchairs or motorised wheelchairs are strictly not permitted.

We accept entries from wheelchair participants who are assisted and unassisted.

We strongly advise that a support runner accompanies each Wheelchair Participant provided that the support runner also enters into the Event and accepts these Terms and Conditions. Assisted wheelchair participants can take part, with support personnel helping to push them along the route. Support runner places will be agreed with the Event Organisers and allocated on a first come first served basis. Those being assisted and those assisting must be 17 years or older on race day.

In accordance with the Event Organiser's health and safety obligations, Wheelchair Participants will be allocated start waves dependent on whether they are assisted or unassisted and will not be allowed to move start waves.

The Event Organiser may need to limit the number of both assisted and unassisted Wheelchair Participants taking part in the Event and such decision will be made at its sole discretion taking into account any health and safety advice and procedures. Wheelchair Participants may be required to provide certain information and to act in accordance with specific instructions and advice in order for them and other Participants to participate in a safe manner. These Terms and Conditions apply equally to all Participants and Wheelchair Participants

If you have any questions, please contact our support team at [email protected] or call us on 0207 398 3422.
