A quieter mile to reflect and remember

The majority of the mile will be in silence to offer you space for reflection, but there will be a simple stage hosting a line-up of special music including an operatic performance and a junior orchestra.

Yellow hearts

With thanks to Cheapside Business Alliance, you will notice yellow hearts displayed along Cheapside as a symbol of love and respect.

Look out for our fibre-glass yellow heart sculpture in Guildhall Yard. Kindly sponsored by City accountancy firm Moore Kingston Smith, this sculpture will provide a place for you to reflect and pay tribute.

The Bow Bells will ring

You will hear the powerful Bow Bells ringing a ‘half peal’ at St Mary-le-Bow Church, and you may wish to make a heart with your hands as you run past.

Write a Dedication

Find your yellow heart postcard inside your Finish Line goody bag and write a dedication in memory, a message of hope or a note of reflection/gratitude. You could keep it private, display it in your window or share on social media with #LLHMTogether

Finishers T-Shirt

You’ll also notice the LLHM 2021 official runner t-shirt features a black armband on one of the sleeves as a mark of respect to those that lost their lives.
