Hasan's Story

“I am running in memory of my uncle, who passed away earlier this year. He received extraordinary care at ellenor hospice, and taking part in the LLHM feels like a meaningful way to honour him. As a doctor, I see how powerful compassionate care can be, and this run gives me the chance to lead by example.”

Hasan is running to raise funds for the hospice that cared for his uncle, who sadly passed away earlier this year. His uncle received outstanding care at Ellenor hospice, and the experience inspired Hasan to fundraise in his memory.

As a doctor, Hasan understands the importance of compassionate care, not only clinically but emotionally too. His decision to run is both a tribute and a commitment to supporting the people and services who make a difficult time a little more bearable for families.

“As a doctor, I see the impact of compassionate care every day, and I wanted to lead by example.  “After seeing the care my uncle received, fundraising felt like the most meaningful way to honour him. I hope this shows that small actions can make a real difference.”

For Hasan, taking part in this event is more than a race. It is a way to honour his uncle, support families going through similar experiences, and show that even small acts of fundraising can create positive change.
