IMPORTANT WEATHER AND HYDRATION UPDATE

Weather

The weather on Sunday is currently forecast to be a bright day with little chance of rain and highs of 16 degrees. There are, however, high winds forecast across the weekend.

Water station change

Due to the unseasonably windy weather forecast, unfortunately the windspeeds and gusts will be too high for us to deliver our water stations through our normal method of paper cups. This means we will need to move to providing bottled water at our drinks stations to ensure that you can be properly hydrated on your run.

These stations will be located at 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10.5 miles.

Bottle recycling

The bottles which we will be using are 100% recycled and recyclable and we encourage you to come prepared on Sunday and only take water you need. Please also remember to ‘drink, drain and drop’ to make sure we can recycle as many bottles as possible.

We would be very grateful if you could dispose of your bottle at the designated zones to help make it easier for our cleansing teams to collect and recycle as many bottles as possible and help us keep the roads clear for other runners behind you.

Small Changes to Event Delivery

We will likely need to make other adaptations to the event delivery to ensure the safety and experience of our participants, supporters and spectators, so please expect things to look slightly differently to normal on Sunday. We will provide a further update on Saturday and thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation.

BAG DROP AND COLLECTION

Double decker buses will be used for the LLHM 2024 baggage facility. The buses provide a safe, fast and effective way for you to leave any baggage while you run the event. Please check below to find out which bag drop you should use, according to your wave.

BAGGAGE BUS RELOCATION

IMPORTANT NOTE – when you finish the event baggage buses for start waves 5, 6, 7, & 8 will have been relocated to Waterloo Place South to allow for some road re-openings. Take a look at the map below to see where our different bag drop locations are:

POST-RACE MAP

We strongly recommend meeting your friends and family away from the finish line as this area will be exceptionally busy. Please see the post-race map below.
