LLHM 2026 THEMED CHARITY CHEER POINTS

Here's a sneak peek of some of the incredible cheer points you'll see along the route. Below is a glimpse of what our Big Ben and St Paul's partners are planning to make your run unforgettable. Be sure to keep an eye (and ear!) out for them, they'll be bringing the energy and cheering you on every step of the way!

ALZHEIMER'S RESEARCH UK - Celebrating the West End

Miles 2.3 & 3.9

As runners approach, they’ll be greeted by the glitter and glamour of the West End, with volunteers cheering them on in true theatrical style.

Imagine a cheer point full of people in fancy dress, top hats and feather boas, tailcoats and masks, and songs from some of your favourite musicals.

ALZHEIMER'S SOCIETY - The Forget-Me-Not Garden - celebrating London's green spaces and gardens

Miles 7.6 & 9.8

Outdoor and garden spaces are important for the physical and mental wellbeing of people living with dementia.

The Alzheimer's Society cheer point theme is The Forget-Me-Not Garden: celebrating the grand, hidden and quirky green spaces and gardens across London which hold lots of historical importance. 

BREAST CANCER NOW - Pink, Proud and Powerful

Mile 7.1

Inspired by Breast Cancer Now's Tony Robins Research Centre: think pink lab coats, goggles and test tubes. Volunteers will be in fancy dress to champion breast care nurses as well as other NHS heroes such as surgeons, paramedics and pharmacists.

Expect live entertaining celebrating the history and diverse culture of London through carnival. 

BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION - Celebrating the iconic London Bus

Miles 4.1 & 10.8

The iconic red London bus perfectly embodies the theme 'The Grand, The Quirky and The Hidden' in London for many reasons. The double decker bus has been a staple of London's streets since the 20th century, symbolising the city's historical grandeur and its connection between past and present. 

Keep your eyes peeled for BHF's iconic red London bus on race day, it's not to be missed! 

CANCER RESEARCH UK - Championing for Change

Mile 9.4

Cancer Research UK will again have stilt walkers dressed in lab coats and scientist gear to reflect the research that we do across the UK. Volunteers will be holding boards with information of how they bring the science from the lab to the public.

DEMENTIA UK - The West End Musicals Cheer Station

Mile 8.8

Dementia UK will have a cheer station celebrating all things West End with a musical performance from a choir, which has received phenomenal feedback from runners, spectators and the general public in the last two years.

Staff and volunteers will dress up in West End costumes and we will encourage runners and volunteers to dress up in the theme, to deliver a true musical theatre extravaganza.

GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL CHILDREN'S CHARITY - The development of the new Children’s Cancer Centre (CCC) at GOSH

Mile 8

GOSH will showcase the scale and significance of the new Children’s Cancer Centre, which is due to be completed in the coming years. They’ll kit out their lively team of staff and volunteers in construction themed fancy dress, whilst bringing back their much- loved DJ truck to play lively and up-beat tunes as runners pass.

They’ll use placards to showcase inspiring facts about the CCC, illustrating the impact this building could have on improving treatment outcomes and care.

MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT - Building Public Support

Mile 4.9

This theme will be a play on the grand buildings and landmarks in London and is designed to showcase the power of community and rally support for everyone affected by cancer.  They will showcase the amazing buildings of London through cardboard cut outs of iconic landmarks.

All volunteers will be dressed up in ‘builders’ fancy dress such as high vis, hard hats and inflatable tools.

Finally, as in previous years, they will welcome back their incredible samba band who will fill the route with music to motivate all LLHM runners to keep going.

MENTAL HEALTH UK - Big Tea Party

Mile 10.4 & 10.7

Britain is known globally for our quirky obsession with a cup of tea. In honour of the nation’s favourite beverage,

Mental Health UK will use their cheer station to host a giant tea party, and the whole city of London is invited! Brimming with energy and excitement, they will celebrate the quirky and hidden history of tea in our capital city, as well as share a vital message around the importance of feeling able to open up and talk about mental health.

MIND – Pride in London

Mile 4.0. & 4.6

For 2026, Mind will be celebrating the diverse culture and communities of London by celebrating Pride Festival. The festival is not just a parade; it’s a powerful expression of the city’s rich multiculturalism, bringing together people of different backgrounds, cultures, and identities to create an unbreakable sense of community. 

PROSTATE CANCER UK - A celebration of London's diverse festivals and parades

Mile 3.1

London is home to an incredible variety of celebrations and parades and Prostate Cancer UK plan to take inspiration from these to deliver their biggest, loudest and most celebratory cheer point yet! 

Aligning well with LLHM’s overarching theme: the Grand, the Quirky and the Hidden, they’ll be drawing inspiration from, and shining a spotlight on, a wide and diverse collection of parades and festivals. They plan to entertain, to celebrate, and to ensure that every runner who passes their cheer point feels like a headline act. 

SHELTER - Spirit of activism in London

Mile 8.5 & 9.2

Celebrating London's diversity and the spirit of activism. Activism and diversity ties London and Shelter together. Shelter's fight for social justice will be reflected in their cheer station theme which also celebrates people coming together being one of the grandest things about London. 

Keep an eye out for their brilliant brass band and bold decorative signage to get everyone in the mood for a day of cheering for all of the amazing runners. 

TOMMY'S

Music of London - Mile 1.2 & 11.8

Celebrating London's musical history, showcasing different music cultures of London. They'll have live music by dhol drumming band Drumatic!

Rainbow - Mile 5.1 & 5.8

Tommy's Rainbow cheer point is the flagship cheer point on the entire route. The Tommy's Rainbow, a symbol of hope and in memory of every baby loved but never forgotten. Their DJ truck man from Beat & Trak will be joining again parked just by Mansion House and bubble machines will be back too! 

Tommy's beginnings - St Thomas Hospital - Mile 0.4

Right by St Thomas' Hospital, where Tommy's began as a homemade campaign 33 years ago. 

Tommy's plan to celebrate in style once again with their classic red double decker open-topped bus on the bridge. Rock Choir will be joining again as well!
